ViacomCBS: creation of a digital library for children
Global group, leader in entertainment content, ViacomCBS assembles all the largest brands of TV, films, and a broad range of digital media. In fact, in France, they include brands such as MTV, BET, Game One, Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon Junior, Paramount, Comedy Central and J-one. ViacomCBS offers programs as well as new and exclusive concepts, drawing on its legitimacy and strong expertise.
This pilot project was a big hit!
Thanks to Rakuten DX solutions they have built a whole complete package: an astonishing, interactive, engaging content and above all a strong customer loyalty and trust.

The challenge was to manage an interactive content
The evolving need for app is ever growing and we know for fact content is undeniably king. The challenge of Books for Kids app was to master and manage an engaging and interactive content. The aim was to ensure that the content remained fresh, new and attractive for users, being updated on a regular basis.

Three main focuses: prototyping, user-experience and client empowerment

– Prototype phase:
The prototyping process revealed new opportunities and certified the best direction to take during development. Assistance was provided to ViacomCBS for visuals validations and UX/UI recommendation. It is indeed the best way to achieve business objectives to conform the content towards the users’ needs.

– Integration phase:
Undoubtedly, great user experience is the number one concern of any business that aims at delivering a top-level app. For this very reason, some elements are not to be missed while conceiving it. Hence, Rakuten DX helped them integrate several functionalities in Books for Kids app such as: off-line connection, progressive download system and multitask mode

– Training phase:
Rakuten DX experts trained ViacomCBS on their own tools that helped them creating, managing and publishing content on the go. The goal was to ensure that ViacomCBS became autonomous and able to use our tools and eliminate as much friction as possible. And to accomplish this, Rakuten DX was flexible on their request for specific developers to build Books for Kids app.
